Are you aware that Sea Mills tries to offer a comprehensive service with information and advice on a wide range of issues related to sexual health?
Emergency contraception - Is available from all the Drs and some of the nurses. Just ask for a same day appointment. When we are not here you can still phone in and you will be re-directed to the Out of hours service who will help, or you can go to any pharmacy providing emergency contraception, for details see the notice board at our gate.
Contraception - As well as prescribing the “pill” most Drs at Sea Mills have full family planning training and can off advice on a wide range of other methods. Dr Marsh also fits both copper and Mirena coils and implants, so if you are interested in these please make a telephone appointment with her for counselling.
4YP - We are hoping to be recognized as a practice that welcomes young people. As part of this any person under 25 concerned about contraception can ask for a “4YP” appointment, we won’t tell you to go away but to take a seat and the Dr will see you just as soon as possible (witin 15 minutes) Don’t worry, your appointment with us is confidential.
Free condoms - are available for anyone under 25. Just ask at the desk about the C-Card sheme, or go to https://www.unitysexualhealth.co.uk/contraception/c-card-scheme/ for more information.
Chlamydia screening - Free screening kits for anyone under 25yrs are available to take away. The kits contain all the information you need about how to take the test, where to send it off and how to make sure you get your results.
