Welcome to Sea Mills Surgery
Confidentiality
Any detail discussed with your Doctor or Nurse is treated as confidential. It will be documented in your medical records and cannot be disclosed without your consent.
Protecting your Information
We may share information with other health professionals (district nurses, health visitors, midwives, social services, hospital doctors) to make sure you receive the care you need. In any other situation we would try to contact you before sharing any patient personal information.
Access to Health Records by Third Parties
We would point out to patients that when you give consent for your medical records to be released to insurance companies or solicitors, it is your entire medical records that are disclosed not merely the records relating to a specific incident. If this is of concern we would ask that you discuss this with your GP.
